"We don't get wounded alone and we don't heal alone." - Carl Jung

How are you feeling?

Life is troubling at times and can feel overwhelming. You may be struggling to cope, feel lost or even unrecognisable. Like many others, you may be unsure of what you’re feeling or even how to cope, leaving you sad, confused, frustrated, and even afraid. This might leave you struggling with the challenges of everyday life and in your relationships, and now is the time to reach out for support.

Hello everyone, I'm Jamie...

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I understand that considering therapy and finding the right therapist can feel daunting, so I appreciate the step you’ve taken to be here.

I’m an accredited therapist with a BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Counselling. If you’re feeling isolated, rejected, hurt, or sad—or if you come from a marginalised community or feel like you don’t quite fit in—counselling can offer a safe, calm space to talk. I’ll support you with empathy and without judgement as you explore difficult thoughts and emotions.

As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand what it’s like to feel different from what society calls ‘normal.’ I believe our differences make us unique and beautiful, and I work from a place of acceptance and respect.

My own experiences have shown me how vital it is to have a secure space to process trauma and difficult emotions. It’s a privilege to support clients on their healing journeys. I’m passionate about helping people heal from childhood trauma, build confidence, and strengthen their relationships—with themselves and others.

I work especially well with those who want to be kinder to themselves, develop healthier boundaries, and reduce fear or anxiety around painful emotions. My goal is to help you cultivate self-compassion, enhance self-worth, and feel less alone.

I genuinely care about the wellbeing of everyone I work with and welcome people from all walks of life. I also accept private health insurance, including Bupa.

What is an Integrative therapist?

As an integrated therapist, I believe that no single therapy strategy can benefit every client. Instead, I consider each client as a unique individual and their circumstances, using aspects of several approaches to support you in your exploration and problem-solving.

The person-centred approach is at the core of my work, offering empathy, understanding, and acceptance. I also integrate psychodynamic and transactional analysis theories into my practice by acknowledging the importance of the past and patterns of feeling, thinking, and behaviour in the present moment.

As your therapist, I want to help you at every stage of the therapeutic process. Together, we will come up with solutions that work for you by providing you with compassion, empathy, honesty, and a non-judgmental attitude. I believe you are the expert in your life and that you deserve a space to find those answers.

What is an accredited professional?

The goal of being accredited by a professional body is to acknowledge the accomplishment of elevated levels of expertise, experience, and growth in the fields of counselling and psychotherapy.

A person is deemed safe, competent, and ethical to practice if they are registered or accredited with a professional body. This requires individuals to have completed a significant amount of training and experience that has been authorised by their member organisation.
