Jamie Moffat

Hi, I'm Jamie...

Feeling sad, anxious, or overwhelmed? You’re not alone — professional counselling can help you navigate life’s challenges with clarity, resilience, and support.

I’m a qualified integrative counsellor, offering face-to-face therapy in Manchester City Centre and online counselling across the UK. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relationship difficulties, providing a confidential, inclusive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions safely and at your own pace.

Now is the right time to take the first step — you don’t have to face this alone.

About Jamie - Accredited Counsellor

I’m an accredited therapist with a BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Counselling, registered with the BACP and professionally accredited with PNCPS. I offer a supportive, inclusive space for adults of all genders, sexualities, and cultural backgrounds.

In our sessions, we focus on understanding your experiences, exploring your thoughts and feelings, and building practical strategies for coping, self-compassion, and emotional well-being.

I aim to create a professional, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes.

My Approach...

I believe a safe and supportive therapeutic space is essential for processing trauma, childhood experiences, and overwhelming emotions. I’m particularly passionate about helping people:

  • Build confidence and self-esteem
  • Strengthen relationships with themselves and others

How I Can Help

I provide face-to-face counselling in Manchester City Centre and online counselling across the UK, welcoming clients from all walks of life. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or relationship difficulties, I offer professional support tailored to your needs. Together, we can work on understanding your experiences and finding ways to cope, heal, and build resilience.

More About Me

I aim to create a warm, inclusive, and accepting counselling environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Every person’s experience is unique, and I work collaboratively to help you develop self-awareness, emotional well-being, and coping strategies for life’s challenges.

About Counselling...

Counselling can help you better understand yourself, process difficult emotions, and feel less alone. I offer face-to-face counselling in Manchester City Centre and online counselling across the UK in a supportive, confidential space where you can talk openly and at your own pace.

As an integrative therapist, I draw on multiple approaches to tailor therapy to each individual. At the heart of my practice is the person-centred approach, focusing on empathy, understanding, and unconditional acceptance. I also integrate psychodynamic, transactional analysis, and compassion-focused therapy to explore how past experiences and relational patterns influence current thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, helping you respond to yourself with greater kindness and self-compassion.

I can support you with:

  • Understanding and processing difficult emotions
  • Exploring life experiences to gain clarity or closure
  • Creating, maintaining, and improving relationships
  • Anxiety, depression, grief, and emotional challenges
  • Gender identity and sexuality support
  • Building self-confidence, self-worth, and self-acceptance
  • Developing healthy boundaries and effective self-care

Counselling offers a space to feel heard, understood, and supported as you work towards emotional wellbeing, resilience, and personal growth.

So What Happens Next?

Starting counselling can feel like a big step, and my aim is to help you feel informed, comfortable, and supported throughout the process — whether you choose face-to-face counselling in Manchester City Centre or online counselling across the UK.

1. Get in Touch

You’re welcome to contact me to check availability, ask questions, or arrange a 15-minute introductory meeting via Microsoft Teams. I aim to reply to all enquiries within 24 hours on weekdays.

2. Practical Details

If we decide to move forward, I’ll send some brief, confidential paperwork and confirm practical details. For online counselling sessions, this will include a Microsoft Teams link; for face-to-face counselling, I’ll share the location information. The paperwork is simple, stored securely, and helps me understand a little about what’s brought you to counselling, including any emergency contacts.

3. Your First Session

During your first session, we’ll go through confidentiality and the counselling agreement. Then, we’ll explore what’s been happening for you and what you hope to get from counselling. There’s no pressure to know exactly what to say — we work at your pace.

At the end of the session, you can decide whether to continue with further face-to-face or online counselling sessions if it feels right for you.
