Narcissistic relationships

Narcissistic relationships involve periods of intense love, feeling devalued and rejected for never meeting their partner's needs. If your partner has narcissistic traits, you may feel disrespected, invalidated and never good enough in your attempts to make your partner happy.

Maybe, your partner is shifting the blame, using silence as punishment, or is refusing to communicate when you are trying to resolve an issue, the repetition and frustrations of circular arguments that leave your head spinning.

Over time, cycles become more frequent and intense, each time losing a little more of yourself to try and gain your partners love and approval, resulting in more feelings of guilt and shame from your partner's projections and criticism.

Although I understand this type of relationship, I cannot give advice or a diagnosis. I will, however, provide a supportive and non-judgmental space in our Individual sessions to help you find a way through those challenges and learn new ways of building healthy boundaries.

My Professional Background

Like many people, I have had varied jobs and roles over the years but they all had one thing in common, helping others. In 2010 I decided to go on a journey of self-discovery on a counselling course in the centre of Manchester, where my journey of person centred therapy began.

After working overseas for some time, I moved to Leeds and graduated as a Person-Centred Therapist. I have been blessed to be a part of a fantastic organisation that offers generic counselling in which I have experience and knowledge in many different issues, as well as my private work and ongoing training.

I have also been trained in Couples Counselling where I empower couples to have a deeper understanding of what's troubling their relationships and to have better communication. I also became an individual member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (B.A.C.P) where I work within professional standards and ethical guidelines.

If you want any further information or have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you so much for reading about services and my journey I hope to hear from you soon.
